Sometimes I wonder whether we see issues the same way with some of my friends in opposition politics. Zimbabwe has been under servitude for many many years. We are now approaching the 4th decade in perpetual oppression. I thoroughly reflected on the needs of the people of Zimbabwe to reach their destiny of happiness and freedom. Such a destiny can only be reached by selflessness. Putting people first. Our disjointed residents in small political fiefdoms has been a blessing to Mugabes tyranny. Our differences are neither ideological nor the value system. They are personal and the love for power and control. Some of the excuses for us to fight this evil system from one basket are as ridiculous as they come. My reconciliation with Tsvangirai was driven more by the desire of our people. They needed unity more than anything to deal with the system that has denied Zimbabweans an opportunity to prosper. I even laughed my lungs out when people whose interests are narrowed on positions attempted to incite me to quit because I was blocked to contest at congress. I told them that my motivation to fight in this struggle is to get a just system in place. If ZANU PF is gone tomorrow I will resign from politics there and then because I have accomplished the mission. I dont want any roles in the new government because politics is not the only thing to move on with life. I told them that since I left to be a legislator their is no day I asked breakfast from a neighbor and my children were able to go to school and was able to keep a number of orphans the duty I am doing up to the present day. So there is happiness outside the stress of government. So when I talk to some of us in the opposition the first thing they ask you is, What role will Tsvangirai play and what position will I have??? Asking them what issues they have with Tsvangirai that makes them feel we cant work in the same basket? They tell you he has been doing the same thing with the same results. If he has been doing that, did you bring a new strategy on the table and what is the strategy? You will get non except preoccupation with positions and personal hatred against the person of Tsvangirai. No man is perfect and it is a strength and honour to accept that sometimes we are always not correct as human beings. We err in life. We do things that are not correct sometimes and no ones should feel that he is blameless. But the call to duty is that we must feel challenged with the state of our nation. It needs all of us who have suffered under this regime to work under one basket for the common good of people. There is no chances of disunity in the hearts and souls of our people. They want this regime to go. Those who are in pursuit of personal aggrandizement must read the mood of our people correctly. They want unity against this regime. Shot of it they will ignore you. Unity now under one basket. Lets bury our differences like what I did with Tsvangirai to free our country.
