Sometimes Im just dumb. I have had some pain in my left foot, which I self-diagnosed (via WebMD and Wikipedia) as plantar fasciitis. The consensus for treatment was rest, ice, stretching, KT tape, and possibly Botox (no effing way Im ever getting another injection into my foot except possibly at gunpoint). WebMD stated that the symptoms would eventually go away by themselves. So like an idiot I took that as a license to go out and run as if Im perfectly healthy. Went for a 5 mile run on a paved trail (5 miles is my go-to distance, but I rarely run on pavement). I was going fast; I even set a PR on my first mile(!). By mile 4 my foot was on fire, so I walked the rest of the way home. By the time I got to work my foot hurt so bad I ended up going home to give my foot an ice bath. I sure hope I can walk tomorrow. :(
