Sometimes Karma treats you right: (True Story) I was working at a restaurant in Marin county I will not name here. I was doing pretty well, and somehow got fired. I remember I did not agree with the termination and had an argument with the chef (whom I also will not name here) A few years later I start competing in Chili Cook-Offs in and around Marin county. I win 5 in a row, including a best in show and take 2nd place in 4 others. The Chef who fired me and that restaurant is one of the other competitors in these cook-offs. (they lost every single one) My last Chili Cook-Off I see him pull up in his truck, get out, take one look at me with our area all setup and ready to rock and get back in the truck and start to leave. Forget something??!! I yell, Ill loan you whatever you need!! I add. He rolls down the window and yells back Nah, forget it, Im going home to watch football, youre just going to win again anyway! I still smile when I think of this. :D (Oh I took 2nd place overall, and we won our class in the last cook-off)
