Sometimes bad things happen and the outcome shows you how awesome people are. In this case, for the first time in 14 years our Magic Pre-release items didnt arrive in time for our events. Not wanting to just cancel those events, we reached out to Modern Myths, X9 Games, and Worlds Apart Games to help us out. In all three cases these stores were willing to let us have a portion of their allotment of pre-release supplies so that we could run our events. This was amazing of these stores and theres no way for us to thank them enough. Im not done there, though. We didnt know that the stuff wasnt going to arrive today so at 11am we had a group of players ready to go. They willing, patiently and quietly played games while they waited to find out whether or not they were going to get to play at all. We made a point to let them know that things were up in the air and that they still had time to make it out to one of the other locations in the area. But rather than do that, they waited to find out if we would be able to run an event and rolled right into it when the supplies turned out. So, while this was an incredibly stressful day, it was nice to see people helping out, doing what they could to make the day better, and generally being awesome. I love Western MA. I really do. Thank you to everybody who made this day suck less!
