Sometimes digesting Sands Montessori teacher emails just makes me sick. I know that she would love to medicate my son so he can sit quietly & pluck out his eyelashes like some of his classmates, but I think she has bigger problems than thinking my sons talking is a sign of disrespect...maybe Im wrong, or just reacting to getting a harsh start up in my inbox on a friday night...but if a class of 24 has a Top Ten Offenders List that warrants the following email, then she has to make the changes. Mind you, this email was not individually addressed. This message is going out to the main 10 offenders of the behavior concern for class 2016. Please address the need for good behavior with your child. I will begin making phone calls to home if I do not observe improvement this upcoming week. Your child needs to know the importance of knowing when to settle in, follow directions, and be quiet. I believe many think the rule of no talking means everyone but me. My expectation is for he/she to do better and I know he/she can because I have observed great respectful behavior from your child in the past.Lets work on this now before this becomes more of a concern.
