Sometimes find it difficult to find the time to indulge both your love of classic comics and cult Japanese monster movies? Well, you can do both with the 1978 TV series Supaidāman. Tōei studios bought the rights to produce the series from publisher Marvel Comics, but played fast and loose with the subject matter, forging the story anew in the vein of much classic tokusatsu, complete with giant monsters and robots. Sadly the 41 episodes that had been uploaded to Marvels website seem to have gone now (heres the link to whats left: marvel/tv/show/128/japanese_spiderman), but you can read more about tokusatsu monster movies in our piece below: Godzilla’s Analog Mayhem and the Japanese Special Effects Tradition nippon/en/views/b04001/
