Sometimes in the wild, you would not get a clean background, you would not have the best position in the jeep, you would have a lot of clutter through which you need to focus (AF TO MF, Multipoint to Single point, huh!!), your subject must be tired and sleeping!! (like the one in the foreground). Very often you would have very noisy humans surrounding and trying to scream their throat out to, but it is THAT patience one has developed or needs to when he /she is in the wild which will do the trick..im sure with all the above constraints, without patience i would have never got to click the expression of the second cub which appeared in the screen for a second or so...I know a lot of my close friends would be laughing, patience n chandru??!!! but wildlife does change people..heee...
