Sometimes it pays to be a passionate advocate for your kids! I cant get into details right now but earlier I shared my frustration with Peorias District 150 for not being able to get my daughter screened for services in a timely fashion. Well, a social worker caught me by surprise last week with a phone call that said she remembered my face-to-face impassioned plea to get my daughter screened for services...and theyre taking steps to make this happen soon. Im very grateful to the social workers in District 150 for being so responsive. And I want to encourage parents who arent making headway in getting their children the help they deserve to NEVER GIVE UP! Theres always a way.
