Sometimes its hard to understand how families and friends are separated from each other. Sometimes its a matter of principle. Sometimes its disrespect, Sometimes its ingratitude. But just about 99.99% of the time it comes down to severe conflicts in values, principles and standards that are totally incompatable with each other. But what can you do? Someone is going to give in to keep the relationship. Either one will have to lower their principles, standards, values and beliefs or the other will have to raise theirs. It cant be both. The tragedy is even though the degree of love has not changed and never will. One must stand their ground. This not about pride or ego. Its about self-respect. JAO
