Sometimes its not our customer service staff but visitors that go above and beyond for our museum patrons. From Random Acts of Kindness in todays Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: This is something small, but it touched me. We were at the Carnegie Museum with our 7-year-old son. On the way out we saw one of those machines that turns a penny into a flat memento of the place you are visiting. It requires 50 cents, plus the penny to be flattened. My son collects these souvenirs from our travels. But I had no change and didn’t even have bills to get any change, so he was disappointed. Two young women who were at the penny machine overheard us. One offered us what I thought initially was a penny, and I said, “Oh, no, I don’t even have the 50 cents.” She smiled and said, “It’s OK, I have that, too. I used to collect these when I was a kid. It’s no problem.” She gave us everything needed. I know it was only 51 cents, but it was so sweet. It topped off our visit and made our day that people are still so nice. post-gazette/news/portfolio/2015/01/08/Random-Acts-of-Kindness-for-Page-4/stories/201501080101
