Sometimes last year, i talked on the need for Nigeria to seek help from the UN or countries or companies that can help us map and track Boko haram movement before and after an invasion using satellite imaging, so that it will be easier to counter attack such invasion or attacks by Boko haram with precision, some folks saw this suggestion as awkward.. Perhaps they are ignorant of the advances in Satellite Imagery Technology... Nigeria launched one or two satellites in space years ago, but it seems that it is only our own satellite that dropped out of space and we have had nothing since then from the agency that his in charge of that. Corruption another reason for the failure of that huge project which would have assisted us today... Yesterday, we learnt that US Satellite Imagery Technology capabilities were some of tools deployed to track and gathered intelligence on the bursted Terrorist cell in Belgium which was planning an attack, also we have also seen other cases where Satellite Imagery Technology had been deployed as a military tool. Why every partnership Nigeria entered into on the fight against terrorism fails is also one thing i dont understand.. We got huge international support shortly after the case of the 219 abducted Chibok girls went viral worldwide, and we about a dozen of countries pledging support and coming in to help, but somehow all the countries involved in the international collaboration seem to have all backed out. Just last week, two of our neighbours Chad and Cameroon also backed out too.. If you say the US is too egoistic and that is why US pulled out, what will we say about NIger, Chad and Cameroon? I just think Nigeria is not keeping her own part of these deals and probably we are not doing what we are supposed to do or something is going wrong somewhere among those saddled with the tasks of making these International deals work.. I hope those involved will do the needful and fully commit themselves to ending this sad reign of Boko Haram insurgency in Northeast Nigeria..
