Sometimes life is scary because change is scary. But then, when we take that first scary step--trusting God to not let us fall--then we are able to take another...then another. Each step provides us with more courage, faith and, yes, humility because we know where the help is coming from. I am currently watching several people who are very dear to me swim their way through some very serious trials. My immediate desire, of course, is to try to hold their hands, pray and ask God to remove any obstacle from their path--as a first time parent tends to do with a child. But I have to remind myself to pray HARD and, let God, in His infinite wisdom hold them in His hands and direct them as is His will. He may not remove every single loose pebble because He wants the strongest, healthiest growth, not the quickest growth!!! Good night to all who are going to bed in trial.
