Sometimes life just isnt fair... Today we said goodbye to two of our shelter kids “Titan” also known as Mike and “Halfton”was doing great in his home with his sister . Life was great. In a span of 3 days, he went downhill. Two days of vet visits and today we found out that he was full of cancer and he went on his journey over the rainbow bridge. Thank you to DeWitt animal clinic and all their staff for taking the time for a last visit with our always happy guy, and his Mom Donna who was also there with him. Horatio”, also known as the Hoo Man and WhoTwo, has been having some problems with his eyes lately. Today, we discovered that his eyes were worse than anyone expected. This feisty, in control, little whirling dervish would have had a life of pain and eventual blindness. He was not a canidate for surgery, foster care or adoption. We were hoping with more time and attention, socializing and training, that he might be able to have some chance for a home, or at least fostering, overnights here and there. He had a lot of people who loved him, even with his attitude and personality. He gave us a challenge every day. We will miss his fiestyness and our day to day effort to try to outwit him on his demands. We hope we helped to make up for what the rotten humans did to him in his past. Run crazy little guy and keep all the others in line, we know you will take charge of the food bowl. Thank you to Banfield Vet for their help with HooMan and to his best buddies Michelle, Leah and kathy for taking extra time with him. We are also thinking of “Bandit” and his family. We will never forget how happy Bandit was when he was reunited with his family after 47 days lost. There was no doubt who was his family when he saw them. We are so glad they had 3 more years together. We are all lucky to have met all of you...
