Sometimes, like this morning, I put on Neil Youngs epic song Words - TopicsExpress

Sometimes, like this morning, I put on Neil Youngs epic song Words on a loop. Its pure bliss, dream-time for me. That loping rhythm, that recorded-in-a-barn production, 11/12 time or whatever the hell it is, Ben Keiths syrupy pedal steel, the most mournful piano part youve ever heard, that John Coltrane-esque guitar solo (in many ways Neils finest), and the lyrics, one of Neils many meditations on the emptiness, isolation, and loneliness of fame (think Old Man, Mr. Soul, Ambulance Blues, and so many more). And Graham Nash and David Crosby on backing vocals doesnt hurt. To me this song is high art. A masterpiece. Turn it up.
