Sometimes, (many times) on these low budget sag shows, because of the lack of funds, you only want to call your friends...because well, thats what friends are for. I am so lucky to have Lisa Hoyle and Chester Tripp as friends, because there were no finer doubles than they were. I was even confusing them with the actors occasionally. What did they do, besides look good? For four days in a row, after being drenched in blood, they went at it with each other...beating, breaking, hitting, kicking, slamming, smashing, pummeling, gnawing, biting(yep, Chester lost a few body parts on this one). They hit tables, chairs, the floor and I even think they took it outside and got hit by a bus, but Im not sure cuz I stepped away to crafty for a second...but if not, it looked like they did! The film? The Fiancé You were both phenomenal and I seriously could not have done the action without you both. But alas, I am now out of a job. As most of you know, aside from coordinating, I can rig and not just talk about it. I can ALSO do stunts. Do I want to do flatbacks or car hits? Nope, too stiff...but I can drive that car. Flip it. Slide it. Or just park it and sit in it listening to the stereo. Stair falls? You bet! Fire burns, thats a given. Fight, yep. Now here comes the kicker....just because I havent hired you, doesnt mean you cant start the ball rolling...step out of that , I only hire people who hire me, box, and take a chance with a new/old face. I do a lot of shows that dont have nd stunts, so I dont always have a part to offer...but many of you do. This post is so long because Im riding passenger in a car and have nothing else to do. I truly hope your holiday is a good one. To those of you that have lost someone close, or many, as I have, in the last year or so, my heart goes out to you. Be safe, my friends. Thank you Ben.
