Sometimes (ok, a lot of times) the right decision is most definitely not the easiest. Our horse, Nakota (aka Oreo pony) has been diagnosed w/a chronic condition that requires some specialized care we are not able to give. After a lengthy discussion w/the vet yesterday and lots of prayer we have come to the conclusion we are not able to care for her in a boarding situation anymore and since we live in the city having her at home is not an option obviously. We are committed to finding her a retirement/semi-retirement home over the next few weeks. If we are unable to do so she will unfortunately have to be euthanized.
