Sometimes pleasing God sounds good, but its just not that important to us. Many sins that are committed on a daily basis are done without a conscious. Think about this, if someone offered you a million dollars to not commit your daily sins would you be able to stop them? If so the problem is not the ability to not commit the sin, its just the willingness to not commit the sin for God. How much do we really value God? Is he worth more than a million dollars? Is He worth more than friends that get in the way of us pleasing Him? Our mouths will say a lot, but our lives will show what we really think. Total surrender is what He wants. Fall into His arms, He will catch you. Tomorrow is a new day, new choices to make, its not too late to make the right choice and still get back what the locusts have taken from you (Joel 2:25). Many will vow to lose weight, budget better, etc..for the new year. While these are not bad things to work on, if you have not fully surrendered yet instead of picking a branch off the tree to change, just dig up the whole tree and change the root. All the branches will blossom because you changed the root. Sacrifice your own life, give up what you know as your life and gain what God tells you that your life is (John 12:25). Now thats a New Years Resolution! #givemyselfaway
