Sometimes the cross we carry may seem heavier than usual during a time of affliction. I remember how I felt when watching the Passion and Jesus was struggling to carry that heavy cross and the Roman Soldiers appointed Simon to help Jesus carry it the rest of the way to Calvary. I was that guy! I was floored by emotions and wanted so badly to help Jesus in that moment of the movie. Everyday, we have opportunities to help others carry the burden that tries to crush them emotionally and spiritually. We ought to seek the Spirit on His ordained discernment often and be sensitive to those delicate opportunities. Some may know the new song by Tenth Avenue North called, No Man is an Island. That song is exactly how we should not live. Get off your island of Holy Bubble of Isolation, roll up your sleeves and help others off the ground that way they can see and experience the glory of God.
