Sometimes the frustration is absolute. After taking some cloud photos this afternoon, I kept an eye to the west to watch for a decent sunset. The clouds went away. Nothing, nada, zip to the west and north. The view to the east and south are blocked from my place. I hooked up the dogs and walked to the dog run. As I got there, the view to the east floored me. A low band of clouds almost the full horizon was on fire. Extremely bright red. With the almost full moon sitting on top of the clouds. Breathtaking. I ran (sort of) best I could back to the RV to grab my camera. By the time I got back to the run, the color had faded to a dull pink. Not even worth removing the lens cap. Some days I wonder if it is worth the effort to get up in the morning if Mother Earth is going to treat me this way.
