Sometimes the math just doesnt add up right. Three men check into a motel. They each pay the desk clerk $10 for a total of $30 for the room. The manager comes in and tells the desk clerk he over charged by $5 and needed to refund the money. The desk clerk gave five one dollar bills to the bell boy to return to the men. The bell boy gave the men back a dollar each but was told to keep $2 as a tip. Each man originally paid $10 for the room but got $1 back meaning they paid $9 for the room. If they all paid $9 for the room the total would be $27 dollars plus the $2 for the tip. For a total of $29 paid. Where did the extra dollar go?
