Sometimes the refusal to vote is a passive rejection of the party - TopicsExpress

Sometimes the refusal to vote is a passive rejection of the party in power. Ive heard many former democrats supporters say they were disheartened by Obamas party. You dont really support your former politician, but you dont want to support the other guy so what do you do??? Its simple you abstain from the vote and Washington politicians do it all the time. To be honest I did the same thing a lesser extent. I did not want to support the Democrat (even though I have traditionally been a long term supporter) because I was rebuking the Democratic Party due to several strong disagreements over their politics regarding gun control, but at the same time I personally dislike Kevin Cramer so I voted for the Libertarian essentially voiding my vote, but I am hoping Cramer starts to notice that a lot of people who would normally be voting for his party are voting for someone other than him. A lot of people write in a non-legal candidate in a similar protest. Its how you void your and let people know you are voiding your vote. Every writein vote for Mickey Mouse is a protest vote its not a mockery of the electoral system it is a legitimate tool of the Democratic system. In the end both Democrats and Republicans both kind of suck and every once a while both parties need a strong thrashing to give them a reality check. In the end Id rather have people show up and write in Mickey Mouse or Yoda because if a non-legal non-existent (imginary) candidate ever took the majority that would be making an incredible statement about the American system of Government.
