Sometimes the second time’s a charm! Hope and Mercy came to us from an animal welfare organization in Vietnam after they were used as practice subjects for eye removal surgery. They were adopted last spring, but sadly returned to our care after several months because of some issues with the senior dog in the home. Happily, Hope and Mercy were adopted again this month, this time as single pets in the home. According to their new dad Stephen, they have settled in beautifully. “They’ve been amazing,” says Stephen. “They sleep on our bed every night and run around like they own the place. It’s been so much fun having them in our lives.” On this day of giving thanks, we are grateful to all the animal lovers who worked so hard to give these blind cats a second chance, both in Vietnam and in California. Thank you Stephen for reaching out to this special pair. We wish you many years of happiness!
