Which for some misconception , they thought us as part of the Visayas and MIndanao.For this misconception we can use this for strategic economic proposition. Lets organized a consortium Leyte, Cebu, Palawan, MIndoro , Masbate, MIndanao,and developed our own logistics ( sea, air and land) calibrated for a world class service and infrastructure.Cebu and Legaspi City have renovated their airport into an international standards courtesy by the current administration of Pres. Ninoy C. Aquino. Talking about the occasional power interruption and the natural energy sources available in our province is true. To mention an example , there was a proposition to exploit the geothermal energy in Irosin . In fact there was an initial phase already paving the way for the construction of the said geothermal plant. It was halted due to the clamor of the environmentalist lead by local parishioners. Talking about the heritage industry of Abaca and coconutand its multiplier complimentary industry like pili, sweet potato, sea weeds. The industry needs a resustation and revival . Infusion of capital from the private and public funds of local or international financiers should be made available. Fortunately our DTI ( department of trade industry) secretary Honorable Gregory Domingo,is dying hard to make his department be successful in strengthening private enterprises , small and medium, private owned or corporate farmers. Funds can now be made available in all banks like Land Bank, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Banco de Oro and local cooperatives. To have an awareness regarding the ancient industry of ABACA, please helped me reviving the industry by putting up a local maritime museum . For on this simple initiative we can re educate the public, the abaca enterprise and its diaspora to another level. ( the best place to put up this Maritime Museum is in Barcelona or perhaps at the old port of Galleon Trade in Casiguran-Matnog).Senator Edgardo Angara through his center of economics and diplomacy , can help us in making this things to happen. The Sorsogon Maritime Museum. The ICOM , International Council of Museum , head quarters in Paris is also advocating the needs to have a citizenry that is Museum lovers. Infact 2014, is declared as the International Museum year to commemorate the needs to look back sometimes in order for us to move forward. Its the same reasons that Philippine National Railways station ,then was put in the Bicol region because of the needs to transport abaca hemp, and the idea that had put in placed after the sudden death of galleon trade .Any way its a necessary decisions because of the new century of economy, perhaps the invention of airplane. Hence the present administration is now cooking up a new way to extend the Philippine National Railways to Sorsogon.Let us hope before the good looking bachelor president ends his term , he can put this things to happen. We can make ourselves an pseudo economic diplomate in the country we are assigned as OFW, overseas foreign workers. Lets connect the province of Sorsogon on our respective new host community.
