Sometimes the turnaround on these pieces is so tight, the cut that plays on the East Coast broadcast is structurally finished, but doesnt have all the final tweaks, like color, sound effects, etc. So the final export is the same cut but with everything exactly how it should be, and then that plays on the west coast and online. Its not ideal, and we try to avoid it, but with a fast schedule on a complicated piece its sometimes inevitable.
