Sometimes we envy people because they seem to have everything. You walk and they whiz past you on a huge bike. You eat at a little vada store, and they wonder if they should get the large, or the extra large bucket. You check the time on your beat up keypad phone and they take their brick sized phones, and it tells them the time! You wear clothes and they wear branded clothes. Your hair is cut for 50 bucks and theirs for 500. Their parents get them whatever they want but your parents cant. They show off, brag and make a scene. You think youre poor, that its not fair that they get so much and you get so little. Can I tell you something? Those dudes dont live life, we live it! Ask them if they would dirty their Nikes and play a game of soccer on a muddy pitch! Would they be ready to eat hot dosas and omelets at a road side shop? Would they abandon their wheels and walk home? Would they foot board on a bus? Would they sleep under the stars and walk in the rain? NO! They wouldnt do all that. So for once, alter your perspective! You can have fun without all the stuff they have. Ever tried dancing in the rain? Try it! You can get your heart racing without seeing triple digits on a speedometer. Ever proposed to a girl? Do it! You can enjoy music without your headphones. Just go to Periar where youll see three blind people singing, opposite Amulthini. Cant go to the movies? Go to the railway station and youll smile, cry, peal with laughter and even cry! Youll get all sorts of drama there! Cant vacation? Take a walk in the Railway Colony for an evening-long time away from the craziness. Visit the church there and get lost in the silence. Feel lonely? Got no friends? Make a visit to the old age home at Ponmeni. Hungry? Would you like some soup? Theres one little shop near Vikaasa school where you get a bowl for 10rs! Need some thrills? Cycle all the way to the scenic Thiruppurakundram hill and climb to the top! Youll get a jaw dropping view of the whole city. Cant afford a gym? Jog at the Arasaradi grounds where youll never feel alone! Learn to use what you have and always be thankful for what youve got. You dont need to be rich to have fun! Learn to live life. Laugh hard and have fun!. Let loose and youll have the time of your life. And most importantly, always count your blessings. #lovelife
