Sometimes we look up so much more towards external mentors and teachers and asatizahs and habib that more often we took a miss from those that are close dear to our heart. We feel that the external gives us more barakah, ilm and great value.. But the moment we bring these external people to be regular in our land to conduct proper weekly/monthly classes, or regular syarahan or talks, the popularity subsided dramatically. Organizers love it and the people love it as they get to meet their youtube sensational speakers. We think its a problem. Just like we always wanted to try something new and special and exotic cuisine to fulfill our taste bud and desire.. but the moment we indulge in those cuisine for long.. the interest just faded away. Seeking ilm and barakah have to be beyond whats trandy and whats new and happening.. it have be something that are consistent and istiqomah. We need to check our heart and intentions.. and break away from the idol mentality and start to embrace istiqomah. wallahu aalam.
