Sometimes when I hear stories about what is happening in Nigeria, it feels as if Im reading one of those stories by John Grisham or J.K J.K. Rowling; but as it keeps occurring and as humans keep dropping like flies, the reality dawns on me and I realise that the difference between me and those victims is circumstance of location. We are getting used to the lurid accounts of the attack that if the death toll is not high, we tend to give it less attention and wait until we hear Hundreds feared dead or Scores dead in fresh attack and this makes us feel like those we are adding to the headlines or statistics are not humans (or were once not humans) like us. Seriously I feel for those families that have been affected knowing it could be me. Nigeria is ours and it is no crime to want to live anywhere in your land and as it stands, even those living in their native compounds are not safe. Nigeria belongs to us all, lets all put hands together in whatever way we can to keep us safe.
