Sometimes when Im sad or confused, I like to imagine that I have guardian angels that stand next to me with their hands on my shoulders. Only, instead of looking like Nicholas Cage, my angels are Carl Sagan and Mr. Rogers. And instead of the Goo Goo Dolls doing the soundtrack, its Journey. And by the time Ive spent something like an hour thinking about how my version of City of Angels would be so much better than the Hollywood one, Im usually not so sad or confused anymore. Instead, Im late for something that I should have been doing instead of creating a mental adaptation of a movie that has a 58% Rotten Tomatoes rating. Sigh.
