Sometimes with new beginning there must also be endings. With my responsibilities of my new role as Commissioner, tonight I gave up the Presidency of Pleasant Valley Fire Co. I have been a member since 1976, and have held every office from Chief to Ambulance Capt to President. I can truly say I have enjoyed it immensely. I have had a great deal of pride leading this great group of folks, the Protectors of the Valley, as President the last 7 years. This place will always be important to me especially because it is where I met my amazing wife, when she was a nurse riding as an ambulance attendant, helping us get our volunteer ambulance company started. I will still be part of PVFD on the Board of Directors. I wish those who are taking over smooth sailing. Running a volunteer fire Co. is a huge undertaking these days.You are in good hands with your newly elected officers!
