Sometimes you lose your way or you never felt you belonged anywhere or it could be that you were always looking for something more. First choosing to practice Islam independently was the feeling of contentment and solace. Its like you willingly submit to Allaah, so Allaah puts this ease in your heart and comforts your soul, you are amongst familiar surroundings despite never having experienced it before. This is surely guidance from Allaah and a little taste of Jannah; because regardless of your financial position or status, regardless of the trials and tribulations or hardships, you are content, you are happy, you have Islam and you are close to Allaah, so everything becomes easy. I long for that feeling again, my advice to the Muslimoon and those searching for more is do not grow pessimistic or despair of Allaah’s mercy that’s the worse thing one can do, because if we do not have Allaah we have nothing. If Allaah is pleased with us we have everything including that hope to Jannah which is our goal and final destination. @in-the-footsteps-of-the-sahaabah:
