Somewhere I belong This song represents the feelings of many that are looking for something real in their life. They feel alone and without purpose; and hopelessness has replaced joy. Because of this, they are led to try many things to fill the void inside, or to erase the pain; and usually, in time, they feel worse. Life can be so challenging and overwhelming, that it can seem easier to give up and stop living than to try and to make sense of it all. Pain, hurt, disappointments, and loss seem to build up far beyond what we can bear. In John chapter 4, Jesus meets a woman who was probably wondering where she really belonged. Her life was filled with heartache, and society seen her as someone out of the mainstream. Her encounter with Jesus brought her understanding and purpose; and more importantly, her hopelessness was replaced by joy.
