Somewhere down in Georgia, where it might not be overcast and gloomy, my friend Bill Harlan - the man who guilted me back into voting, following a string of election cycles where I heeded my friend Bob Mercers concerns over reporters choosing between people we cover -- just felt my contribution to our representative democracy. Unfortunately, because Im registered Libertarian, I had but one choice today, on a non-political ballot: the Ward 5 Rapid City Council race between non-incumbent (see Hillary Dobbs-Davis correction below) Ron Sasso and challenger Darla Drew. So I was in the booth for about eight seconds. Still, those were eight seconds that mattered, right Bill?
