Song About Leaving-Carissas Wierd. This still occasionally gets broken out on a rainy day or quiet night, though I havent had a breakup in a LONG time, and this is one of the all-time great breakup records. And breaking up in much more than the boy/girl fashion...just the passage of time, drifting apart of people who you once held so dear, loss of places in time... its so personal sounding and still universal. Kind of a revelation when I first heard it, on top of the songwriting, the exchange of male/female vocals, both as harmony and as call and response, coupled with beautiful chamber pop piano and violins just always pushes my buttons so hard. I can think of many times I felt so heart broken or sad and this album took the place of unburdening myself on someone else.
