Song for dad. EF. Hello dad. Spoke to mum yesterday about some more of your favourite songs, there were lots! One stood out though and it made me think again how lucky I was to have you as my dad not how unlucky I was to lose you so soon. Whoever or whatever this life is, I thank it for you. You the joker, you with the big clumsy feet, you with the most loud and terrifying sneezes, you with your love of steam trains, real ale,and fry ups when mum went out to eat. The person who turned televisions off when YOU were done watching (even if we were all still sat in the lounge!!), who threw post or important bits of paper away when you tidied up; you who even when I was about 23 used to tell me the weather was going to be bad and did I want to borrow mums waterproof and wellies to go to work in?! You who introduced me to billy Connolly, Monty Python, The Rolling Stones, The Kinks, BB King, John Coltrane, Elle Fitzgerald, Aretha Franklin.... I could go on. So thank you for the days I had with you dad, wish wish wish I had you forever and would give anything to have u back even for one more day. Love you and miss you. Enjoy :) xxxxxxxxxxxx
