Song of the day: Living For the Bell - Greg Volz. Vince Lombardi once said Fatigue makes cowards of us all. Well, these extended periods away from home are wearing me out. Time to put on my coachs hat and give myself a pep talk. When its only Tuesday morning and were already looking to quitting time on Friday its all but impossible to put forth our best effort to the job at hand. Every one of us knows how to do our jobs and we also know just what we can get away with. We know how to skate through the week doing just enough to get by. Were all too familiar with good enough. Good enough however, is a slippery slope that can cause us to lapse into mediocrity. By not giving our best we rob ourselves of the chance to find out just how great we can become. While our co workers and customers may never notice, we have to look in the mirror and the mirror doesnt lie or accept excuses. We owe it to those who pay us to give it our all on the job, more importantly we owe it to OURSELVES to go balls out and be all we can be. So get busy and quit watching the clock because as this song says Your hearts not in it when youre living for the bell!:-)
