Sonic Boom : Rise of Lyric Demo Review Has anyone downloaded the demo of Sonic Boom for Wii U? I finally got the chance to download it after work today and get a feel for what this game is and what it can offer. The demo was able to showcase three different types of gameplay elements : Adventure, Boss Battles and Speed. Adventure: The Demo only gave two Characters to play with, Sonic and Amy. Both characters played well in my opinion but it also was just a basic control scheme that wasnt hard at all to learn. Good for those who dont want things complicated, Bad for those thirsty for more. Camera angles were pretty typical in the game, they never were really a issue but they were not always the best. Boss Battle : The battle was pretty chaotic, simple but chaotic. You had three characters helping you in battle yet your fighting alone. The AI should of played better in this part of the game. I dont expect them to take on the main bad guy Dr Eggman but at least the robots that plagued the battle around me could of helped with the madness. Speed : Well the demo really went fast on this one. I will need to get a better feel for it when I play it again. I was constantly running into anything they put in the way. They gave you all characters to play as this time around but I felt it really didnt matter for this part as it would most likely end up the same. I cant really judge the game as a whole as I doubt the glitches were not in the demo for me to see. I did enjoy the demo overall though. You only get eight times to start up the demo, so choose your playtime wisely. I cant say how visually appealing the game was as Im still waiting for the TV to be available to experience it. So download this demo and see for yourself if your curious as to how this game is. At least its a free experience that wont eat your wallet if you dont like it.
