Sons Weekend (YEAH!) I so need a break! I will have a totally different idea about cancer, radiation and chemo when I am done with this experience! OMG...I first thing I will tell anyone to NOT say to a cancer patient something pandering. Holy cow it is a freaking JOB and not an adventure, at all, to go through this. I have never been so tired or overwhelmed with bone weary exhaustion, but... I think the unknown is more frightening than the actual of the situations I have encountered to date. Once you overcome fear then you have the sweet taste of faith, hope and courage again! So blessed God has seen fit to help me overcome the fear! (YAHOO!) I am learning that many things I was told about Squamous Carcinoma was simply untrue or completely misguided attempts to explain something not fully understood! WOW! My Oncologist said, Simply forget everything this person told you, as obvious they had no medical training whatsoever... Hummm, true nuff, in retrospect it wasnt even that persons OWN experience. Now when something like that happens and I feel like a damn fool I get to call it, Chemo brain, lol! Brad it would be LOVELY to see you and Ali. I plan to make beef and noodles this weekend if I can get my ass off the couch. PLEASE do not drive 94 is this weather unless you HAVE too.The pile ups today were horrid! A phone call gives me joy and comfort because I know you are okay, loving your Mom:) and keeping your own family safe! Loves my family and asks God to bless each of you everyday! Amen!
