Sony is doing absolutely the right thing here. This has nothing to do with freedom of speech as much as it does with absolute, unabashed stupidity. How many empty studio suits signed off on the notion that a Christmas Day comedy about the assassination of a sitting world leader - and avowed enemy of the U.S. - would be a smash idea? So the hack doesnt blow up a couple of multiplexes on Jesus birthday: does anybody want to take that risk? Sony was willing to do something far worse than shouting Fire! in a crowded theater...they wanted to crowd theaters and see if any of them caught on fire. tinyurl/pl3vp8l
