Soon Koh has no idea about five SUPP wrongdoers Chin referred to SIBU: Sibu SUPP chairman Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh said he did not know the four SUPP members who would be referred to the party’s disciplinary panel and the one to be issued with a show-cause letter. “You should go and ask (SUPP president Tan Sri Peter) Chin. He announced it to reporters last Sunday. I think only Chin himself knows who the five mysterious party members are,” said Wong when met after sending off Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud, who earlier officiated at the Incorporated Society of Planters (ISP) national seminar here yesterday. Chin said the party’s central committee (CC) had resolved to refer four persons to the disciplinary panel based on the many complaints received against them after the May 5 general election while another member would be issued with a show-cause letter. He also revealed that a decision would be made at the central working committee (CWC) meeting next month on when to deliver the letter. Meanwhile, a senior SUPP member close to Wong said if Chin really had evidence on the purported wrongdoings of the five members, he should reveal their names and take action against them immediately. “Don’t keep antagonising party members especially those in Wong’s camp by not revealing their identities. Such indecisive action would only create suspicion among members,” he spoke on condition of anonymity. When asked on the report that Chin’s proposed meeting with newly appointed Home Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi next week in relation to the Registrar of Societies (ROS) show-cause letters issued to SUPP recently, Wong said he and six elected representatives aligned to him had already met with Zahid in Kuala Lumpur on June 3. “I have briefed him on SUPP’s situation, particularly on the irregularities leading to its triennial delegates conference in December 2011,” Wong revealed, adding that he would leave it to ROS to make the final decision. On June 14, the state ROS director Ken Leben confirmed that it had issued two show-cause letters dated June 6, to SUPP Piasau and Bekenu branches. Ken also said before the show-cause letters were issued, the registrar had received complaints against 14 SUPP branches.
