Sooo, as some of you know I adopted the work betta (aptly named Risky Bidness) and he was living in a one gallon tank, his fins started curling under so I did some research and got him a 5 gallon tank and started cycling it to get good bacteria to grow so Risky could have a better home and be healthy. Ive been testing the water, making sure it had the right Ph, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate levels. I got a thermometer to ensure the tank was at the proper 75-80 degree temperature for this tropical fresh water fish. Tonight was the night that Risky was going to make the transition to his new home... I came in after work and Risky had passed away on me!!! I couldnt believe it! Ive buried him in a pot and plan to seed it with cat grass so Risky can live on while giving Gus something to chew on. I just told my co-worker and she said the next betta (because now I must get another because I have a 5gallon tank sitting in my dinning room with perfect betta ph) shall be named Life Lesson because thats what happens when you engage in Risky Bidness. RIP Risky, you were loved.
