Sooo....my coworker said something disturbing to me today. Her daughter (who wears her natural hair neatly in twists) was hired by a daycare. But the daycare owner asked her if she would straighten her hair for work. She tried to explain that she doesnt put chemicals or excessive heat on her hair. The owner asked if it was because she couldnt afford it. Coworkers daughter explained that it was by choice. The owner proceeded to ask her if she would go ahead and straighten it because she has to move around too much in the lobby of the business. Your thoughts?
