Soooo a rather tough Tyler , and to share why its time to stand on my soap box as a rather successful event rider ( due to great coaches and horses and some hard work ) and to say that the stadium courses were exceptionally tough , the Xc mostly left identically from the AECs were championship ! How does this translate ? Well the field coming to the AECs were the best from all parts of the country , the field this weekend were a few of those maybe , but mostly people either moving up , or first timers or not so successful combinations that could not go to the AECs , most of the professionals were bringing out the horses we have not had time for or are new or as with my guy who did novice at the AECs and has moved up to training ,having been blessed to have produced endless advanced horses and ridden and won or placed at the biggest events in he world I will educate him and help him through it , for joe amateur eventer who worked all week and then brought their love of there life horse out to do his first event or first upgrade it was probably like climbing the north face of the eiger in a bikini :) absolute hell !! My suggestion is put away the gallon of ice cream and 12 gauge , quietly train hard over the winter and lets ask our area V committee to help protect the majority of our wonderful eventers in this sport in our area and in the program in big letters state , the SJ will be tough at certain events , the Xc will be stiff at others and so on plus speak to the various four star riders in the area about where to move up or bring out your super steed , this ensures you are ready and able to have a fun wk end of which you deserve :) our events are some of the best in the country but like horses certain ones are for certain riders and some are not, at that point in time :)
