Soooo, after a couple of conversations with people about how horrible the new facebook app is, I did some reading. Turns out, the new terms are not new at all. They are the same terms you agreed to when you downloaded the regular fb app for your phone. The only difference is that facebook is trying to make messenger a separate experience from your regular newsfeed and they are forcing you to participate. They do not ask for more permissions than any other messaging app you will download. Besides, whats the point of spying on us through our phones when we willingly post the details of our lives anyway? lol
