Soooo sick of seeing all the nasty comments about us Southerners having problems with a little snow and ice.... All the parts of the country that live with snow and ice on a regular basis, are in fact, prepared for it. Yall have sheds with Salt and road treatments set up along side your interstates.... Yall have Fleets of trucks to treat the roads.... that is your way of life. Yall can go into a spin when you hit a patch of black ice and know to take your foot off the gas, NOT BREAK, and pull into the direction of the spin then ease back into control of your vehicle.... because when yall learn how to drive in your area, that is part of what you learn..... NOT so in the south. We do NOT have a Fleet of trucks to treat our roads, We do NOT have the Salt sheds and road treatment trucks to hit our roads before the snow hits. Unfortunately for most people here in the south.... when our vehicle hits an ice patch, our first reaction is to hit the breaks.... And I will add..... the Northerners that are in fact here in the south in this weather right now..... are unfortunately, discovering that driving in the snow and ice in the south, is in fact, quite a bit different than at home.... they, also, are slip sliding off the roadways......
