Sooooo, I havent had to post anything regarding Lilys health in a long time. Until now :-( After complaining for months of back pain, her orthopedic surgeon did some blood work. Her CRP and Sed Rate has come back extremely elevated. We have several appointments at Childrens this week just to make sure there isnt an infection in her hardware. In the meantime, I received an unnerving call this afternoon from her surgeon: Im clearing my schedule for surgery on Monday. Whaaaa? Wait! Back up. Whaaaa? Hes that certain there is an infection and shell need surgery to remove the entire spinal brace. But, hey -- its been 1 1/2 years since her last surgery, so we should feel pretty lucky (clears throat in disgust)
