Sooooo....another thought for the day......I went on the Social Security website....need to start realistically thinking about the big day I will retire. so ....needed to see what my anticipated benefits would be at different ages of retirement......Well.....at the age of 66 and 4 months.....I would be eligible for X amount of dollars....however.....I already qualify for the exact same dollar amount less ONE dollar, if I was to become disable NOW....OK....sooooo ..... in other words, If I could find a Dr right now that would say I am disabled....for what ever reason....my knees, stomach, ankle, etc......I could be not working....!!! Luckily I have a VERY strong Irish work, as well as moral ethic, that would NOT allow me to take advantage of an obviously poorly managed system. But ,,,,how many people just say......hey....I could do this...why not???? My Dad worked well into his 70s, and STILL at almost 85, is still involved in a few ventures....he didnt collect until his mid 70s,,,,,,That generational ethic is what is missing in this generation, and I for one am doing MY best to continue it thought my actions as long as I can!! Just sayin....RANT is over.... :-)
