Sooooo... weve decided to take and foster this big, beautiful, black lab. Hes 6 years old. Hasnt had any training or much human interaction at all. Danny brought him home yesterday. I had it all planned out... I was gonna train him to walk on a leash, put some basic o.b. on him, etc.. I get home and Danny made him a nice soft bed in the kennel, had the heater on out there so it was nice and warm and gave him fresh water and fed him. We let him settle in and decided to attempt to bathe him. We were NOT looking forward to it. He has NEVER had a bath EVER. While I was out, I bought him a new collar & some treat toys to keep him busy. Anyway... we put his collar on, leashed him up and proceed to walk him to the house (hes never been in a house). My 15 yr old son walked him.. the dog was a PERFECT gentleman! He didnt pull one time! Danny was waiting in the house to help us. This dog is HUGE! About 26 tall and Im guessing 100 lbs easy. He got in the tub and stood there like a perfect gentleman! Hes so sweet and non-threatening to the other dogs. Taking him to vet 1st thing this morning to have him checked out. Hopefully hell he be ready for adoption in no time! This Is Duke.
