Sophie Cox, 14 from East Yorkshire has put her heart and soul into recording a song in memory of her cousin Emma who passed away last year. Emma had terminal cancer and in the last few days of her life was cared for by Marie Curie Nurses. Sophie is donating all of the profits from the song to Marie Curie to help other people and families living with a terminal illness get the professional care and emotional support that they need. Sophie said, When I found out that my cousin Emma had been diagnosed with terminal cancer, I was very upset and felt really sad. I decided to put my feelings down on paper and write a song. I wanted to do something which would help Emma’s friends and family remember her by. The song comes from the bottom of my heart and is inspired by William Wordsworth’s poem ‘Daffodils’. I hope everyone who listens to the story enjoys it and it helps bring them some comfort.
