Sorors, Im happy to announce that 9th Grade Girls in the Bronx can apply to NYC GREAT! starting today. The leadership and communications skills program is designed to provide young women with experiences that allow them to define their voice and become architects of their own destiny. I created the program for The NYC Department of Education and Im excited for the young women who will be selected. 50 participants will have access to leadership conferences, mentoring and a whole lot of fun. Curriculum is designed by Tamekia Monique Flowers and her team at Hip Hop 4 Life. We are all excited about this amazing opportunity. The first leadership conference will be held on April 18 at a Bronx location.
