Sorry Bass Pro Shops, outlet mall, and other businesses in Leeds, AL...until you have a change of mayor (David Miller), you wont see one cent of my money. I understand the city attorney had to save the situation by accessing state funds...but even making the statement that stranded motorists would have to pick up the tab for their vehicles to be towed was enough. These motorists werent joy riding in the snow..they were attempting to get home to their families, and became trapped. Sounds to me like your road dept didnt do their job in prepping the roads(all road depts in AL failed at this, but didnt slam the drivers the next day with a tow). I understand that a very large number of those trapped in the city were actually residents of Leeds...and if I was one of them...I would take that into consideration in the upcoming election.
